Ballet

A classical dance style that builds grace, strength, flexibility, balance, and strong technical foundations. We believe this is one of the most important classes on our timetable, as it provides the technique and discipline that supports progress in other dance styles. IDTA examinations are optional for Ballet classes.

Tap

An exciting and rhythmic dance style that develops musicality, coordination, timing, and confidence while creating sounds with tap shoes. IDTA examinations are optional for Tap classes.

Acro

A dynamic class that combines dance technique with acrobatic skills, helping students develop strength, flexibility, balance, control, and coordination. With a strong focus on safe technique and correct progression, dancers build confidence and gain new skills. Classes involve limbering, tumbling, balancing, flexibility, strength, and conditioning exercises.

Modern/Jazz

An energetic and expressive style that combines jazz technique with modern dance, focusing on rhythm, performance, flexibility, and creativity. Alongside Ballet, Modern/Jazz is an essential foundation class, developing the technique required for kicks, leaps, turns, and jumps, while enhancing performance quality, style, and confidence.

Contemporary

A versatile and creative dance style that combines elements of ballet, modern, and jazz, encouraging expression, fluidity, and musical interpretation. It is a popular and ever-evolving style, allowing dancers to explore individuality and artistic expression.

Lyrical

A graceful style that blends ballet and modern dance techniques to tell stories and express emotion through movement.

Commercial

A high-energy style inspired by the dance seen in music videos, TV, film, and touring pop artists Focusing on performance, musicality, confidence, and creativity, this class helps dancers develop versatility, stage presence, and the ability to perform with style and attitude.

Musical Theatre

A fun and expressive style that combines dance, acting, and storytelling, inspired by performances from stage and screen. Dancers develop confidence, characterisation, musicality, and performance skills while learning choreography and bringing scenes to life.
